Asisat Oshoala Wins Golden Boot In Women’s Spanish Primera Division.

Asisat Oshoala has won the Pichichi award for the highest goalscorer in the Spanish Primera Division, following an impressive goalscoring 2021-22 season with champions Barcelona.
The four-time Africa Women's Player of the Year becomes the first woman from the continent to achieve the great feat, scoring 20 goals in just 12 starts of all 19 league appearances
The 27-year-old Nigerian,who opened her season account with a brace in a 5-0 win over Real Betis on September 11, grabbed her 20th goal of the season in a 5-1 win against Sevilla on May 5.
The Pichichi award was confirmed on Sunday, May 15th in 2022. After Barcelona finished the season with a 2-1 victory against Atletico Madrid at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The 20th goal of the season saw the Super Falcons star, who twice bounced ack from a 16 week layoff due to injury, level with Brazil?s Geyse of Madrid CFF, who failed to go further. She was also instrumental in guiding her Barcelona team to history as the first team in Spanish football history to win the league title with a perfect record. Along with this win Oshoala earned herself the coveted Pichichi Awards, a prize for highest goal scoring at the LaLiga tourney
The Spanish champions finished the season with 30 wins in 30 matches, with 159 goals scored and just 11 conceded.
Oshoala also becomes the second non-Spanish player to win the award after Mexican Charlyn Corral, who claimed it in the 2017/18 season.
