Israel Adesanya Shines In Middleweight Title Defense As One Of UFC’s Highest Paid

New Zealand based Nigerian MMA champion and star Isreal Adesanya nicknamed The Last Style Bender last night February 12th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas for the fourth time since his championship defended his middleweight belt, successfully and this time against a former opponent Robert Whitaker, a fierce fighter he defeated by second round KO in October 2019 to earn the title the first time.
The Style Bender went into this fight with the confidence of a king after sealing a multi-fight deal with the UFC making him one of MMA?s highest paid athletes ever, possibly only second to former lightweight champion, Conor McGregor. Both they are represented by the same agency.
He won by unanimous decision with judges scoring the fight 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 and said in his post-fight interview before walking out of the octagon "watch out for me in June.
